A checklist I run before sending any email campaign from my CRM. Takes 10 minutes. Catches the stuff that lands you in spam.

Before you write the email

• [ ] Sending domain has SPF record configured
• [ ] DKIM signing is enabled and verified
• [ ] DMARC policy is published (at minimum p=none with reporting)
• [ ] Sending IP is not on any major blacklist (check MXToolbox)
• [ ] Reply-to address is a real, monitored inbox
• [ ] From name matches your brand (not "noreply" or a random employee)

Before you hit send

• [ ] Subject line is under 50 characters
• [ ] Subject line has no ALL CAPS words
• [ ] No more than one exclamation mark in the entire email
• [ ] Preview text is set (not blank, not the first line of the body)
• [ ] Unsubscribe link is present and functional
• [ ] Physical mailing address is in the footer (CAN-SPAM requirement)
• [ ] All links resolve (no 404s, no redirect chains longer than 2 hops)
